Himalayan Hope is always looking for new funders and donations, and we welcome contributions of any size.

There are plenty of ways that you can support us and the projects in Lamagaon village, and if you would like your donation or materials to go to a particular project, then let us know.

 Bigger Projects 

  • Support the development of the Montessori Preschool  - this new project has the potential to transform education in the area but still needs a lot of new materials to make the space safe, creative and sustainable
  • Support our Birds’ Nest Home for vulnerable children – the Birds’ Nest is one of the most important projects in the village, and has monthly running costs that need to be met to ensure its ongoing success
  • Sponsor a child in the Birds’ Nest Children’s Home – a regular monthly contribution covers a child’s residential care, educational costs plus any medical care.
  • Support our Community Centre – The Community Centre is an important hub in the village, and still needs more equipment including medical materials, computers and all kinds of arts supplies for groups to use. It also has regular running costs which need covering.

Ongoing Projects

As outlined on the Year Round Projects page, there are numerous community-led development programs running in the village all the time. While there are specific, larger projects that need funding, these ongoing programs are really important to the community and provide relatively simple but necessary access to:

  • Warm blankets and clothes
  • Medical care
  • Emergency services
  • Jobs
  • Nourishing food and more

They really require as much support as possible to maintain wellbeing, happiness and quality of life in this mountainous region. Even a small donation can make a big difference by providing someone with a fleece in winter, or assisting in the running costs of making all this happen.
